Join the Dennis Conservation Trust and Mass Audubon- Long Pasture Sanctuary at West Dennis Beach where we will discuss and observe one of the most well-known owls since Mr. Know It Owl ate a tootsie pop. Snowy owls have been gaining in popularity since the appearance of Hedwig in the Harry Potter movies, but where were they before Harry Potter?

Believe us they were out there, but in the last several years they have been more noticeable as irruptions have occurred, more recently this winter, with many hundreds of snowy owls infiltrating the U.S. from points north and moving as far south as Oklahoma and North Carolina.
