Join us May 7th, from 5:30pm-7pm for a Tick Talk & Walk at the Dennis Conservation Land Trust’s Not Enough Acres Farm.

We’ll be in safe hands with Escher Cattle, an entomologist and extension educator for Barnstable County’s Cape Cod Cooperative Extension. Escher will take us tick sampling and flagging in a meadow on our property as an exercise.

The last thing you want to know is that we’ll have a good variety of ticks out and about as peak season is ramping up but good to know how we can spot and repel (as much as humanly possible) different ticks!

Escher received his Bachelor of Science in Insect Ecology & Conservation from University of Delaware in 2018, and his Master of Science in Entomology from North Carolina State University in 2025. He splits his time between training the Cape Cod Master Gardener program and tickborn disease prevention education, providing expertise on all things creepy-crawly in his own playful-yet-informative way.
