Join us on June 28th at 1pm at our headquarters to explore the pollinator meadow and the butterflies that use it, led by Gerry Beetham!
After a career in the business world, Gerry moved to Cape Cod with his wife in 2012. They volunteered at Mass Audubon’s Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary, tending to the butterfly garden, as well as the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History’s Butterfly House. They learned about butterflies through this volunteer work, and soon helped the Harwich Conservation Trust create pollinator gardens.
Today, they lead butterfly walks for the Harwich Conservation Trust every year, focusing on identification, life cycle, and the plants that support them.
Come learn about these beautiful creatures, and how to attract them to your own garden!
