Come and join us for a birding adventure with naturalists MJ Foti and Dann Jung at the Princess Beach Conservation Area, a small beach located on freshwater Scargo Lake.
The walk includes a trail that loops through lichen-strewn pine woodlands.
October is a fine time to explore the trail and enjoy the recently returned waterfowl on Scargo Lake. If you can jump from one spot to another with us, after Princess Beach Conservation Area we’ll take a short drive to Corporation Beach to look for Sea Ducks, such as Common Eiders, scoters and mergansers that will be over-wintering along the New England coastline. Expect up to 1.5 miles of easy-to-navigate hiking trails.
