Participating Farm: A.R.C Hatchery
Join us as we tour the A.R.C. Hatchery. The Aquacultural Research Corporation (A.R.C.) is the only large-scale commercial shellfish hatchery in Massachusetts, supplying hundreds of millions of oyster and clam “seed” annually to independent growers around Cape Cod and down the East Coast. Established in 1960, A.R.C. was founded to develop the art of shellfish spawning and to support local growers and companies reliant on fresh oysters and clams. Located behind Chapin Beach in Dennis for over 60 years, the company now employs 30 people in a wide variety of positions.
